derek was married to patricia for 26 years before he died, during which time they had four children, amanda(myself), derek, steven and ben. he died from cardiomyopathy aged 46. he now has 3 grand daughters, demetri, persephone and kadi.

hiya dad im just writing this because ive been having a bad time and need to get it off my chest and dont want to stress mum out so u were always a good listener i just need a bit of guidance and need you to be beside me and let me no what you would do in my situation its been so hard growing up without you at home so just keep this in mind and look after us all , all my love your baby

hiya uncle'd',time has past to quickly now daragh was born just after you left us,although i like to think you met him along the way,he loves sport and i know you would love that,i hope i did you proud looking after the crew after you went it was a hard time especially for the kids they were only young but as im sure you seen they did you proud,im still about in the background if they ever need me.loving an missing you always xxxx
